You are 100% responsible for how this experience changes your life.

How?

By the commitment and presence you put into it.

"I woke up later I won't have time today".

"I am exhausted this morning".

"I will do two meditations tomorrow".

"There are people in my room. I can't focus".

"I don't have 20 minutes out of 1440 of the day".

I know the drill. And let me tell you, you will always find an excuse not to meditate. The days you have the most reasons is the day you need to meditate the most. Meditation can be as straightforward or as complex as you make it. Make it simple. Create a morning routine out of it and enjoy it to its fullest.

I will share some tips to help you avoid using these excuses in your life.

  1. Meditate every morning right after you wake up. This allows you to avoid finding a moment to do it throughout the whole day, and it leaves no excuses. You wake up, do it, and it's done. Things will come up during the day, and it will be easier to skip it if you don't have it done first thing in the morning.

  2. Find a comfortable and lovely space to meditate every day. Meditating every day in the same spot creates an energy field that will grow in that part of your house. It doesn't matter where it is as long as it is nice for you to meditate there.

  3. The position: Sitting down (not lying down). Having your spine straight involves a level of awareness inside your body that helps you stay awake and aware. You can sit wherever you feel comfortable. It can be a chair or your sofa or on top of a cushion. You can also rest your back on the wall. Make sure it's comfortable for you so your mind doesn't use your body as an excuse not to focus.

  4. Avoid looking at your phone before meditating. This is a crucial part of it. If you wake up, check your socials and messages and then sit to meditate, all that influence will stay in your mind, and it will be harder to focus. Just wake up, open only the meditation chat and then, begin your day. Trust me. This step is the difference that makes the difference to all the program.

  5. Physical tips: wash your face, turn on the lights on when you go to the toilet (to let your eyes know the day has started), put on comfortable clothes and clean any clothes or clutter from your meditation area.

  6. Get a journal. Many things may come to you while meditating. Ideas, concepts, people you want to talk to, etc. It is essential to have a journal so you can download your thoughts after your meditation (not during). I will also be sending you some exercises you might want to work on when you finish meditating as well.

  7. Be entirely focused on the daily task, the effect of the meditations will depend on your commitment to the practice during the meditation and your day. This is not only for 20 minutes. Each meditation is there to guide you through the whole day. Please make the most of it!
